After successful realization of this course, student will be able to: 1. Explain and define the basic concepts in the field of literary theory; 2. Recognize the function of literature in the literary text; 3. Understand literary history, literary theory and stylistic peculiarities of formation of literary works; 4. Recognize figures of speech in the text and explain their function; 5. Recognize and classify literary text according to gender, type and form; 6. Analyze and independently interpret literary texts, with the identification of its fundamental stylistic and structural features; 7. Develop the ability of self-advancement through the implementation of individual assignments.
