Jelena Gazdic was born in Pljevlja on 12 Decembre 1984. She studied Serbian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic. She graduated in 2008. In the same year, she enrolled in postgraduate master studies (Serbian Language), and she received the Masters in 2012.
