After completing the two-semester course in Childrens Dentistry II, the Dentistry student should have the following learning outcomes: 1. Know the growth and development of the orofacial system, anatomical, histological and morphological characteristics of primary and permanent teeth, the chronology of eruption of primary and permanent teeth. 2. Knows diseases and therapy of soft tissues in children, oral manifestations of infectious diseases and systemic diseases in children, as well as types and therapy of injuries in primary and permanent dentition. 3. Knows the psychological types of children, the principles of planning dental work with children and possesses communication skills with children, parents and medical staff. 4. He is able to independently examine the child and take all relevant information related to his health and illness (dental and appropriate general history) from the parents or companions, and conduct the necessary supplementary diagnostic tests in order to establish a dental diagnosis. 5. Knows and correctly applies preventive and prophylactic dental methods for deciduous, mixed and permanent dentition. 6. Has the skills to independently perform restorative and endodontic procedures in deciduous, mixed and permanent dentition. 7. Prevents and treats emergency conditions in childrens dentistry.
