It is expected that after passing the exam in this subject, the student will be able to: 1. Explain the basic concepts of action and principles of application of physical modalities; defines the place and role of physical factors in the clinical practice of physiotherapy 2. Describes devices, explains the biophysical basis of action, physiological and therapeutic effects of physical modalities; discusses the application of electrodiagnostics and biofeedback modalities 3. Explains the methods and techniques of application, indications, contraindications and precautions for the application of physical modalities in the clinical practice of physiotherapy 4. Recognizes and describes the procedures of electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, ultrasound therapy, thermo and cryotherapy, light therapy, hydrotherapy 5 .Justifies the choice, dosage, method of application and modifications in the application of physical therapy modalities according to the needs of individual patients. 6.Demonstrates the correct, safe and effective application of selected physical modalities.
