It is expected that the student after passing the examination in this subject will be able to: 1. Understand and describe the physiological and pathological changes in different body systems associated with normal aging and diseases related to aging 2. Define and describe the process of a comprehensive geriatric assessment and describe the role of a physiotherapist in a multidisciplinary team in this process 3. Plan and impolement physiotherapy intervention in the prevention of rapid and disharmonic aging, maintaining functional ability and the treatment and rehabilitation of common diseases and disorders in the elderly 4. Understand the role of a physiotherapist within the multidisciplinary team in geriatrics and demonstrate the ability to communicate with team members, older people, their family and carers
