The Student Basketball League kicked off
The annual edition of the Meridianbet Montenegro Student Basketball League kicked off today at the University Sports and Cultural Center of the University of Montenegro. A total of 14 teams, divided into three groups, participated in this event.
The league began with a surprise as the reigning champions, the team from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, faced defeat in the first round, losing to the Maritime Faculty’s team with a score of 35:50. In another match of Group C, the Electrical Engineering Faculty (ETF) triumphed over the Medical Faculty’s team with a score of 43:35.
In Group A, the Nikšić Student Dormitory narrowly defeated the Biotechnical Faculty with a score of 51:47, while the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Faculty easily won against the Law Faculty’s team, finishing with a score of 57:35.
The most decisive victory of the first round was claimed by the students of the University of Donja Gorica, who are in Group B, with an impressive 82:48 win over the Metallurgical-Technological Faculty’s team. In the same group, the Mechanical Faculty secured a win against the University of the Mediterranean team with a score of 41:32.
