The International Relations and Mobility Office organized a Welcome Day yesterday for foreign students who will spend the summer semester of the academic year 2023/24 at the faculties of the University of Montenegro under the Erasmus+ mobility program.
The meeting with the students was an exceptional opportunity to exchange impressions and experiences after their first days in our country. Students had the chance to learn more about the organization of the University of Montenegro and the education system, as well as to get answers to any questions regarding their stay in Montenegro.
The Head of the International Relations and Mobility Office, Ana Dragutinović, extended a warm welcome to the students, wishing them a pleasant stay in Montenegro and success in their further studies.
During the meeting, the international Erasmus Student Network Podgorica (ESN Podgorica) was introduced, along with their activities that will enrich the Erasmus experience for students at our university. Incoming students had the opportunity to meet members of the ESN Podgorica network who will provide support and enhance their stay with numerous activities and social events.
After the welcome, in the company of ESN Podgorica members, foreign students toured the campus of the University of Montenegro and contributed to its greening by planting several saplings. The aim of this activity is to enhance the awareness of students, the future academic citizens, about the importance of environmental conservation.
Additionally, foreign students were informed about the Montenegrin language course for international students, which will be held twice a week during the summer semester.
In the current summer semester, there are 12 students from eight countries: Czech Republic, France, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Germany, and Serbia. We look forward to continuing our successful collaboration and shared experiences that will enrich our academic community.
