Biography - Arsić Aleksandar

Aleksandar Arsić was born in 1983 in Belgrade, where he finished Primary and Secondary music school “Kosta Manojlović”. Year 2008. Arsić graduated at The Academy of Music in Belgrade, trumpet department, where he also completed the postgraduate studies for solo and chamber music year 2011. Aleksandar has studied with renowned soloist Maurice André in Summer Academy in Zurich, two times years 2005 and 2006. He participated in master classes with many famous teachers such as: Eric Aubier, Reinhold Friedrich, Gabor Boldotzki, Mark Schrello, Edward Tarr and Luis Gonzalez Marti. He has won numerous awards at national and international competitions, such as: Concours d'Interpretation Musicale Europen and Jenuesse Musicales, Concours Musica de Benidorm.

 

Arsić started to perform as solo artist at the age of sixteen and since then he has played many solo recitals, as well as a soloist with orchestra or in a chamber ensemble. Aleksandar is a permanent guest member of New Trinity Baroque where he plays on period instrument (baroque trumpet) and has performed as a soloist as well as a part of ensemble and orchestra, playing instrumental music and baroque operas. He is also a member of international brass quintet Busina Brass where he plays with eminent brass players from countries in region (Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania). He has participated in many important festivals in Serbia and countries in region, such as: BEMUS, BELEF, A-Tempo, Mokranjac days, Sarajevo Winter, Kotor art, VG Brass Festival, etc. He played in France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Switzerland, USA.

 

Along with solo career Arsić has always been active as orchestral trumpet player. His first performances as first chair were in Youth Philharmonic “Borislav Pašćan”and since then he cooperated as a part-time member in Belgrade Opera, RTS Symphony Orchestra, Vojvodina Symphonic Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Makris Symphony Orchestra and Opera Madlenianum. Since 2008. Aleksandar is employed as first trumpet soloist at Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra in which he has played more than 300 concerts in Montenegro only. Therefore he has earned distinguished artist status and as such he teaches trumpet at Academy of Music in Cetinje since year 2014.
