Biography - Nikolić Spomenka

FULL TIME LANGUAGE LECTURER

I received my MPhil (1999)  in Contrastive Analyses of English Adjectivals from the University of Belgrade, but I started my university teaching career much more earlier at Faculty of Philosophy, University of Montenegro.  I joined the Department of English in 1996 and have been actively involved in the different language teaching courses of brand new English Language and Literature Department.

Now, I can proudly announce myself as a member of academic teaching staff at Faculty of Philology as full time language lecturer.

I am passionate about providing relevant and innovative classes to my students. I have taught a wide range of topics across the fields of current courses. I aim to help all my students achieve their English learning goals and I guarantee their satisfaction at the end of the course.

As a person, I am optimistic, energetic, and open-minded. As a teacher, I am demanding, patient, and conscientious what helps my students see their learning path and their progress. 

The study of language demands discipline, observation, exploration and imagination. Some aspects, like phonology and grammar, ask for particular attention to detail, accuracy and logical argument. Other topics, such as language development and language variation, demand an ability to collect, analyse and evaluate your own data. Finding out how a language works and how societies communicate combines a unique intellectual challenge with significant practical potential.
