Today at the University of Montenegro, the Acting Executive Director of CEDIS, Vladimir Ivanović, presented a check worth 10,000 euros to the Rector of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, in celebration of the Universitys 50th anniversary.

The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System, through this generous donation, has reaffirmed its commitment to the community it serves and contributed to the development of the countrys education system.

"CEDISs donation aims to support UCG in marking this significant milestone and to contribute to the further development of education in the country. This is just one example of the socially responsible activities the company undertakes to support the community and education. As a socially responsible company, CEDIS is involved in all areas important to Montenegrin society. We recognize a particular importance in educational institutions where, under the supervision of teaching staff, generations of experts who are the leading force in the development of our country are being shaped. Students, with their intellectual and creative potentials, represent the strategic foundation for the development of society; they are the carriers of knowledge, ideas, and information, and our future. Therefore, CEDIS as a socially responsible company will continue to support the educational system of Montenegro," highlighted Vladimir Ivanović.

Expressing gratitude for the donation, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, Rector of the University of Montenegro, noted the significant role of the oldest and only state university in the development of our society.

"Our alumni have been developing Montenegrin enterprises for decades, educating generations of intellectuals, and have been, and still are, a beacon of scientific and research thought in Montenegro," said Božović.

He added that a series of activities have been initiated to adequately present half a century of the Universitys work to the public.

"Our main focus is directed towards the central celebration of the jubilee— the Solemn Academy, which will be held during this month, where we will gather the academic and business communities, state institutions, diplomatic corps, as well as partners from the region and beyond. We expect more than four hundred guests, and thus CEDISs donation significantly eases the organization of this important jubilee for us and the entire community. I am proud of the cooperation we have with CEDIS and believe that it will continue and grow even stronger," emphasized Božović.

It is worth mentioning that since its establishment, CEDIS has allocated significant funds to support the education system and, in addition to todays donation to the University of Montenegro, provides strong support to numerous educational institutions across Montenegro.
