After passing the exam in this course, students will be able to: 1. Understand the terms energy, energy transformation, exergy; 2. Understand the basic laws of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics; 3. Use knowledge acquired in the field of fossil fuel combustion; 4. Use the knowledge acquired in the field of using hydropower, wind energy, solar energy, biomass and nuclear energy; 5. Understand the working principle of fuel cells; 6. Understand the process of electricity production; 7. Understand the problem of global warming.
