It is expected that the student after passing the examination in this subject will be able to: 1.Explain the principles and the role of physiotherapy in the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and injuries 2. Describe the pathology, etiology, mechanisms of development and clinical presentation of common musculoskeletal disorders and demonstrate an understanding of their impact on the functioning and quality of life of the patient 3.Implement appropriate evaluation of the musculoskeletal system; make the appropriate selection and demonstrate the basic measurements and testing in the evaluation of musculoskeletal function 4.Set goals and select the appropriate physiotherapy in accordance with the results of the evaluation and the individual needs of the patient 5.Demonstrate proper and safe use of active and passive therapeutic interventions often used in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction 6. Recognize the place and role of physical therapists in mutidisciplinary team for treatment of patients with musculoskeletal disorders
