University of Montenegro is opening the "FuturUM" bookstore and a café bar within its technical faculties
At todays meeting of the Managing Board of the University of Montenegro, chaired by Prof. Dr. Rajka Glušica, a proposal from the Rector of UCG, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, was adopted for the opening of a bookstore named "FuturUM" and a café bar in the lobby of the technical faculties building. This initiative comes in the year when the University of Montenegro celebrates its jubilee – fifty years of "immeasurable contribution in terms of education and culture to our population," as stated in the Rectors proposal.
"The University of Montenegro, through its publishing activities, has created works of enduring value, which, due to current circumstances, have not been recognized in the manner they deserve. The opening of the FuturUM bookstore will make all works produced under the auspices of the University’s publishing activities accessible, not only to the students of the University of Montenegro but also to all citizens and interested parties," according to Rector Božović’s proposal.
The bookstore’s sales assortment will include not only books published by the University of Montenegro but also books from local and regional publishers, as well as artistic souvenirs produced by organizational units within the University of Montenegro; souvenirs featuring the University of Montenegro logo and materials used in teaching.
The range of "FuturUM" bookstore will also feature artistic souvenirs and educational materials, thus further encouraging academic development and social connection within the university space.
The opening of a café bar in the building of the technical faculties aims to create a dynamic and inclusive space that will encourage interaction among students, staff, and visitors, and promote social connectivity. This investment will contribute to the academic environment, support education and youth development, and positively affect the student experience, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere of the university space.
