Doctoral Studies

In doctoral studies for obtaining academic title of Doctor of Philosophy or the title of Doctor of Arts, one acquires education in scientific and artistic fields of study by participating in classes, scientific-research artistic-research work and independent research.

The Center for Doctoral Studies is responsible for implementation of doctoral studies at the University. Within the Center, the Committee for Doctoral Studies operates as an expert body, which manages doctoral studies and is responsible for the self-evaluation process, continuous monitoring, assurance and improvement of quality.

Doctoral studies last three academic years (six semesters), i.e. the scope of the study program of these studies is 180 ECTS credits.

The study program of doctoral studies is implemented through teaching, scientific research, or artistic work, and the preparation and defense of a doctoral dissertation, or doctoral art project. The scope of the study program is 60 ECTS credits in one study year, or 30 ECTS credits in one semester.
