- Faculty of Natural sciences and Mathematics -

The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Podgorica is a higher education institution. During almost 25 years of its work it has matured both in terms of teaching and scientific activities, first as the Institute of Mathematics and Physics and afterwards since 1988 as a Faculty of Natural Sciences and Math ematics.
An important step in the development of this Faculty was the establishment of the Department of Biology in 1990.
Today this Faculty organizes undergraduate, specialist and master’s studies, and it also offers a possibility of obtaining a doctoral degree in the field of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
The Faculty has intensive cooperation with numerous reputable universities, and particularly with the Moscow State University “M.V. Lomonosov”.

Undergraduate Studies
Undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics last four years, and they are organized at 3 departments at which the students are given a possibility to choose one of the following departments:

Department for Mathematics and Computer Sciences
- Study Group A: Theoretical Mathematics
- Study Group B: Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences
- Study Group C: Computer Sciences

Department for Physics
- General Study Group
- Research Study Group

Department for Biology
- Study Group for Biochemistry
- Ecology
- Pedagogical

Postgraduate and Specialist Studies
Postgraduate studies are organized at the Department for Mathematics and Computer Sciences at the following three groups of studies:
- Mathematics of Analyses
- Algebra
- Information Technology


Specialist studies are organized at the following two courses of studies:
- Methodics of Mathematics
- Computer Sciences.
