After passing this exam, the student will be able to: 1. apply the appropriate model for the needs of a contrastive study; 2. recognize equivalent syntactic structures in the two languages; 3. translate a sentence of the source language with an equivalent syntactic structure in the target language; 4. compare the original text and its translation in terms of syntactic structures; 5. classify the syntactic similarities and differences between the two languages.
