ENGLESKA KNJIŽEVNOST 2 - RENESANSA I RESTAURACIJA

After successfully completing this course, the student will be able to: 1. get an insight into the canonical texts of English Renaissance and Restauration Literature – such as Utopia, Hamlet, Paradise Lost, and alike – as well as appreciate their significance in the history of English Literature; 2. get acquainted with the major literary figures of the age; 3. identify lines from the great body of poetry covered within this course; 4. sharpen the literary analysis skills, as well as conduct debates about the topics discussed in the analysed literary works; 5. improve the essay writing skills; 6. be acquainted with the historical background of the era (16th-18th centuries).
