After the course the students will be able to: - describe social and historical features of the Victorian Age as the background to the literary expression of the time - list the key characteristics of the Victorian novel, poetry and drama - list the key authors of the Victorian poetry, drama and novel - recognize the key works of Victorian literature - recognize in random excerpts from Victorian literary pieces the elements characteristic for Victorian writing
