After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to: 1. Explain the roots of Italian fascism, its characteristics and policies. 2. Interpret Italian politics and society in the aftermath of World War II. 3. Analyze the basic elements of the Italian economic boom and the main reasons for the workers and students protests and terrorist movements, initiated in 1968. 4. Illustrate the political and cultural situation of the post-war development in Italy using examples from literature and film.
