Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to: 1) recognize, describe and connect with practice bacis concepts of key translation theories; 2) recognize, describe and analyze the specifics of major types of translation and translation problems; 3) describe, illustrate and criticize basic theoretical approaches to translation; 4) use appropriate metalanguage; 5) more consciously approach translation tasks and translation problems.
