Online Training on Using the Web of Science Platform Held at the University of Montenegro

Online training on the use of the Web of Science platform for members of academic community of the University of Montenegro was held today via Zoom application.

Presentation was held by Jozef Jilek, a representative of the company with which the University of Montenegro has signed a contract for access to the contents of this platform.

For the Web of Science (WoS) platform published by Clarivate Analytics, Jilek pointed out in the introductory part that citation databases covering all areas of science are available. The platform contains more than 34.000 indexed journals and nearly a billion records of cited references and includes articles, conference proceedings, reports, patents, and more.

He showed participants of the presentation, through Zoom application, how to, in a pile of data, reduce and classifynecessary data and improve their search, analyze the results and get the full value of the search experience on this platform.

This platform may be greatly helpful to researchers in choosing scientific literature, reviewing attractive research areas and papers, systematization and categorization of scientific publications published by renowned world publishers, i.e. better information and greater availability of scientific content.

"The Web of Science allows you to monitor state of science and develop a plan for allocating limited research funds now and in the future, tracking new areas of interest and discovering who is particularly active in areas of special interest to your organization," Jilek underlined.
