Student organizations
Opting for the University of Montenegro, you join a community of over 17.000 students. At the University of Montenegro, there are about 10 student organizations representing interests of students.
Peak student organization is the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro, which is involved in the decision-making process on behalf of the students. Each student organization tends to open different fields of opportunity for students, depending on its program commitment.
Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro
The Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro is an institutional representative body of students of the University of Montenegro, which represents more than 17.000 students. Since its establishment on May 31st, 2004, it has been continuously working to improve conditions of student life and strengthen the student population in Montenegro. With representatives in the Steering Committee, the Senate, the Ethical Committee, the Quality Assurance Management Committee of the University of Montenegro and the Council for Higher Education, the Student Parliament participates in the decision-making process on behalf of students, with minimum 20 percent share in each of the decision-making bodies at the University.
Mission of the Student Parliament is to make a students voice heard and to respect their interests. That is why it encourages student activism, involvement in social processes and life, which requires support of an entire society.
Since May 2016, the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro has been a full member of the European Student Union (ESU) – peak organization of national student unions from all over Europe, raising its activities to an international level.
