Steering Committe UoM: regulations adopted for addressing the housing needs of employees at the University of Montenegro

At the session of theSteering Committe UoM, chaired by Prof. Dr. Rajka Glušica, three regulations were adopted to address the housing needs of the employees at the UCG, pertaining to the needs of the academic staff with academic titles, professional and non-teaching staff, and associates.

At the same meeting, the Alumni Strategy of the University of Montenegro 2024-2029 was adopted, for which the Senate of UCG provided a positive opinion. This strategy is "an important instrument for achieving certain strategic developmental goals of the University of Montenegro, such as creating conditions for better employability of graduates and improving international cooperation and cooperation with the economic sector," pointed out the rector of UCG, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović.

The development directions of this strategy are defined in accordance with the dominant orientation towards five priority areas that include the link between alumni and teaching, science and career development, maintaining relations with the scientific diaspora alumni and international students, as well as creating a network of alumni who connect through the organization of various events.

Given that the University, in accordance with the Law on the Public Broadcaster Radio and Television of Montenegro, has the right to propose its candidate to represent it as a member of the RTCG Council, the UCG Management Board adopted the proposal of Rector Božović for Prof. Dr. Vladimir Drekalović to be the candidate. Professor Drekalović meets all the prescribed conditions defined by the Public Call published on January 29, 2024.

The session also discussed topics related to the current operations of the University of Montenegro.
