Call for Doctoral Candidates: UoM Announces a Competition for Short Research Stays Abroad on April 15

The University of Montenegro will again this year announce a call for applications for short research stays abroad, lasting up to two months, which will be published on the official website of the University on April 15, 2024.

This unique opportunity allows young researchers to gain experience working at leading world educational and research institutions, as well as in the development and research centers of the most developed companies in Europe.

The stays are organized as part of a program to support the development of science and the training of staff at the University of Montenegro, as well as to achieve the goals of the Universitys Development Strategy.

Doctoral candidates at UCG who are not employed and who do not receive other scholarships, teaching assistants who are also doctoral students, or teaching assistants with completed doctorates who are not recipients of other scholarships can apply for the short-term research stays.

As last year, the study stay will be financially supported by a University scholarship, for a total of ten applicants. The amount of the scholarship will be €2,500 net (regardless of the duration of stay), and is intended to cover travel expenses, accommodation, and living costs.

The conditions of this year’s competition, as well as details of the application, will be published in the text of the competition on April 15. The evaluation and ranking of applications received will be performed by the Scientific Committee of the University of Montenegro.

This program allows doctoral students and researchers to get acquainted with advanced research technologies and practices, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences at the international level, through the creation of a strong international knowledge network that has a positive impact on the scientific community of Montenegro.
