Great Interest of Students for Action of the Central University Library

Action of the Central University Library (CUL) of the University of Montenegro, as part of the National Library Awareness Day - October 5, aroused great interest among students. In front of the technical faculty building, at the librarys info corner, the book was wanted more. As part of this years Library for Students program, students were able to receive one free book each from the surplus fund of CUL and the Library of the Parliament of Montenegro.

Under the auspices of this program, all Montenegrin students, regardless of whether they study at state or private universities, could join 17 public libraries for free today, thanks to the initiative of the Central Library that public libraries in Montenegro support this program again this year.

These are public libraries in Andrijevica, Bar, Bijelo Polje, Budva, Cetinje, Herceg Novi, Kolašin, Kotor, Mojkovac, Nikšić, Plav, Pljevlja, Podgorica, Rožaje, Šavnik and Ulcinj.

The goal of celebrating National Library Awareness Day is to remind the public of the importance of libraries participation in the process of formal and informal education, as well as to contribute to raising the level of expertise of library staff in Montenegro and the information literacy of library users.

The program is implemented as part of the Erasmus+ project of the Network of Services for the Support of the Western Balkan Library Network (LNSS) through the modernization of libraries and the level of expertise and qualifications of library staff in higher education institutions in the countries of the Western Balkans.
