National Library Awareness Day Celebrated

Central University Library (CUB) celebrated National Library Awareness Day by organizing several programs and actions today.

As a central event, a Conference under the title E-Information Search (electronic library catalog, UoM Digital Archive, databases ...) was held at the CUB Reading Room, attended by Nebojsa Krstic, the Chairman of Neolibris and Vjenceslava Sevaljevic a representative of EBSCO Information Systems for Serbia and Montenegro, Tanja Djurovic, Librarian Advisor and Head of the Library Development Department at the National Library of Montenegro "Djurde Crnojevic" and senior librarian, and Danijela Boljevic, senior librarian (supervisors at CUB Reading Room), then Jelena Terzic Information System, as well as Dalibor Parac, Senior Library Services Engineer for Central and Southeastern Europe, EBSCO Information Services.

Thanks to the initiative of the Central University Library for all public libraries in Montenegro to support the action called Student Libraries, 11 public libraries in Montenegro (Cetinje, Kotor, Podgorica, Herceg Novi, Mojkovac, Kolasin, Niksic, Plav, Budva, Bijelo Polje, Bar ) tallowed free membership to all interested Montenegrin students, whether studying at state or private universities and colleges today.

The aim of these actions is to further contribute to the affirmation of the library and information profession, but also to support higher education in Montenegro and the affirmation of the value of reading and education.
