Lecture by Leaders of Research Group at the European Institute for Bioinformatics at FoSM, September 3rd

Nick Goldman, PhD, the leader of research group at the European Institute for Bioinformatics (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/research/goldman) will hold the lecture on the topic of modern researches from bioinformatics and mathematical modeling in molecular biology, in Hall A1 at study program Biology, of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 at 11 h.

The lecture will be consisted of information from research work of his group, related to:

-Use of DNA molecules as a medium for storing digital data

-Creation of mathematical model of the extent of mutations in genes based on the structure of the proteins they encode

-Optimization of use of nanopores on DNA molecule sequencing devices

Doctor Goldman is visiting Montenegro as the part of cooperation with EMBL (European Molecula Biology Laboratories, https://www.embl.org/) and this is the opportunity become familiar with the newest achievements from the field of bioinformatics and mathematical modeling, as well as to gain insight in possible fields of cooperation with EMBL center in Hinkston  (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/).
