Call for Delivering Project Proposals within Fund for the Western Balkans (WBF)



By means of the Ministry of External Affairs of Montenegro, hereby we inform you that third call for submitting regional project proposals within the Fund for Western Balkans is published on October 28th 2019 by the Secretariat of the Fund in Tirana.  

In accordance with the goals of the Fund, call is directed to promotion of regional cooperation and strengthening relations among contractual parties WBF through nourishing common values among citizens, civic society and non-profit organizations as well as better connection within the region and improvement of integration of states of the Western Balkans into the European Union.

Project proposals must fulfill criteria prescribed by Call for Projects and Application Guidelines. Areas of cooperation for organization of activities are as follows:  

  1. Cooperation in the area of culture;
  2. Education and exchange on the area of science;
  3. Sustainable Development

Project proposal must include at least one of the mentioned areas of cooperation. We note that promotion of reconciliation, European integrations, cross-border cooperation, freedom of expression, gender equality and young are topics including all activities within crucial areas of cooperation WBF.

Total budget of this call for submitting proposals of projects is 250.000 euros, while maximum amount that may be approved per project is 12.000 euros. Contribution WBF shall not exceed 80% of total costs for the given project activity. In the aim of equality, each of six member countries of the WBF (except for Montenegro there are Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia) will get funds for implementation of four projects as a bearer, while number of projects for funds getting as a partner is not limited. 

Condition for implementation of project activities is that proposer of the project forms project partnership containing the leading applicant and minimum two project partners (partners must be from at least three different contractual parties WBF). The call is open for legal entities, non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations as well as business associations (agricultural associations, chambers of commerce, tourist organizations), education institutions (universities, faculties, schools, institutes, research centers, academies of science), local government institutions as well as institutions from the area of culture and sport (museums, art galleries, theatres, libraries, associations of cultural institutions, sport associations).

We underline that deadline for delivering project proposals is December 10th 2019 at 17:00.  

Also, we inform that Info days about the announced call will be held on Thursday, November 7th in the facility of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje with beginning at 14:00 and on Monday, November 11th 2019 in multimedia hall CIC ‘Budo Tomovic’ in Podgorica with beginning at 17:00. Aim of the Info Day is to inform institutions in more details about conditions of the announced call and application.
