Info Event - Horizon 2020, December 12th




The Ministry of Science and General Directorate for research and innovations of the European Commission organize the promotional event Horizon 2020 Outreach, on Thursday, December 12th 2019 in hotel CentreVille.

H2020 Outreach events have the aim to, via information sessions, provide clarity and coherence in implementation of Framework Program. Events are intended firstly for H2020 project applicants as well as H2020 users. Next to focus on financial provisions of the general model of the Grant Agreement, the event is especially directed to current, particular needs of users and other interested parties.   

Aim of the event is to clearly explain rules and procedures of H20202 Program, ambiguities in financial and administration management of projects and reporting. Moreover, skills of project management is relevant to all who implement projects of research and innovations. Therefore, research and assistant staff from all sectors are welcome on the event.

A highly important segment of the H2020 event is preventing possible mistakes in justifying costs, the reason why this event includes a 30-minutes-session about ‘the most frequent mistakes’. In addition, session on dissemination and usage of project results is very important, including information about interactive platform for reporting on H2020 (Horizon Dashboard). Some of topics to be covered by the workshop are: accounting of earnings and costs of persons engaged in the project, travel costs management, equipment, other costs and indirect costs – rules, costs justification, necessary records etc.  

From the beginning of Horizon 2020 Program, in member states and affiliated countries about 60 successful info events have been organizes and more than 7000 participants gave positive feedback. Experience shows that these events are good way to disseminate and improve knowledge about rules, processes and tools of Horizon 20202 Program.

Horizon 2020 is the main instrument of the European Union for financing research and innovations. It lasts from 2014 to 2020 with budget of about 80 billion € covering almost all areas and types of research and innovations. Montenegro is affiliated country in this program hence having same rights and obligation as EU member states.
