Biography

He was born on February 27^th, 1993 in Uzice (Republic of Serbia). He graduated from „Sutjeska“ elementary school and „Slobodan Skerovic“ grammar school in Podgorica, Montenegro with an excellent cumulative GPA. In September 2011, he enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro. He defended his final paper „The surgical treatment of rectal cancer“ (under the mentorship of Professor Doctor Ranko Lazovic) in May 2017. He graduated with a cumulative GPA of A (9.90). During his studies, he was awarded several times for study achievements (Scholarship of Ministry of Education of Montenegro 2012/2013 – 2016/2017; Annual student award by the Faculty of Medicine 2011/2012 – 2015/2016; Award of University of Montenegro (the best student of the Faculty of Medicine) 2014/2015; Award of Podgorica Capital City 2014/2015).

He completed his internship in the Primary health care center Podgorica in 2018, after which he worked in the Institute of Emergency Medical Service in Podgorica, Montenegro. Currently, he is a general surgery resident in the Clinical center of Montenegro.

He is a teaching assistant in Anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro. He worked as a student-demonstrator in Anatomy during his studies (2012/2013 – 2016/2017).

He was a member of the Healthcare Crisis Response Team appointed by the National Coordinating Body for Combatting COVID-19 in Montenegro.

He co-authored multiple scientific papers in journals indexed in reputed indexing databases (SCI, SCIE, SCOPUS). Also, he was a research associate in several scientific projects. He was an active participant in three scientific symposia: Third international medical students congress (SAMED); Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (2017), 26^th International meeting on forensic medicine Alpe – Adria – pannonia; Pula, Croatia (2018), and 6^th congress of the Serbian anatomical society of Serbia; Zlatibor, Serbia (2018).

He is fluent in English language and he also speaks Italian language.
