Rector Conversed with Delegation of the Vienna University on Development of PhD

Rector of the University of Montenegro prof. Radmila Vojvodić has conversed today with delegation of the University in Vienna on significance and development of doctoral studies.

Rector met with director of Doctoral Studies of the University in Vienna, dr Lucas Ziner and experts in the Centre for Doctoral Studies of that higher education institution, dr Bjanka Lindorfer and dr Barbara Leitner.

The meeting was also participated by prof. dr Melita Kovačević from the University of Zagreb, who prepares within REDOS project a Strategy of Doctoral Studies of the University of Montenegro, manager of the Centre for Doctoral Studies of UoM prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapić and member of the Board for Doctoral Studies and manager of REDOS project prof. dr Radovan Stojanović.

Rector expressed gratitude to colleagues from Vienna for their support and eagerness to share experience in development of doctoral studies reminding on a very important role of the University of Montenegro in Montenegrin society as the only comprehensive higher education institution.

At the meeting discussion was made regarding proposal of Strategy of Doctoral Studies and potential preparation of action plan, which would be ambitious yet realistic.

It was announced that it was important to connect science and research community through cooperation of universities, since it contributed to development of society in whole. Development of doctoral studies has important role in this process.

The meeting greeted integrity approach of the University of Montenegro, thus providing better and faster development of institution in all segments as well as in area of doctoral studies.
