Letter to faculties: Equality in celebrating religious holidays

Vice-Rector for Education at the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Veselin Mićanović, has sent a letter to the deans and vice-deans of the UCG faculties, urging respect for the legally prescribed right to celebrate religious holidays. Students who submit a request should be allowed to take exams outside the dates scheduled in the Academic Calendar if these dates coincide with religious holidays.

"We recommend that in the process of planning pre-exam and exam obligations during the semester, the teaching staff should plan and schedule them in agreement with the students to enable all students the right to celebrate their religious holidays.

This approach allows all students to take exams and assessments in a state of readiness, which is not diminished by obligations arising from their religious practices, thereby ensuring fairness and equal access for all," states the letter from the Vice-Rector.
