UoM Representatives at the International Plagiarism Conference

Representatives of the University of Montenegro also participate in the work of the fourth International Conference ‘Plagiarism across Europa and beyond 2018’ that is held in Ephesus, Turkey form May 9th ti 11th.

Prominent lecturers from the field of academic integrity from all over the over participate in work of the Conference. Topic of the Conference is ‘Fostering academic integrity through consistent and transparent approaches’.

Delegation of the UoM is consisted of member of member of the Editorial Board Gojko Joksimovic, PhD, member of the Quality Assurance Centre, Natasa Duborija, PhD, member of the Centre for Doctoral Studies, Natasa Kostic, PhD and Chairperson of the Court of Honour, Boris Vukicevic, PhD.

The goal of the Conference is to contribute to standardization of consistent and transparent approaches to issues of academic integrity in various domains such as plagiarism detection and prevention, importance of software use for comparing texts, types of plagiarisms, teaching on the adherence of the best academic norms and establishing institutional and national standards in this areas.

Lectures and workshops are organized within several sections dealing with specific topics such as: the best practices and strategies aimed to raise awareness on this topic, detection and prevention of inappropriate academic acting; internationalization of universities, student mobility and academic integrity; innovation in the use of electronic technologies and detection of texts modified with inadequate paraphrasing.

Organizers of the Conference are the University Canakkale Onsekiz Mart, Mendel University (Brno) and European Network for Academic Integrity, with the support of the EU Erasmus+ program.

Participation of the UoM representatives is implemented within the program ‘Strengthening Integrity and Fight Corruption in Higher Education’ conducted within Horizontal Mechanisms for Wester Balkans program commonly financed by the Council of Europe and European Union.
