The Student Ombudsman

The task of the Student Ombudsman is to protect students' rights and to mediate in relation to issues which require institutional support.

He/She receives complaints from students relating to their rights and forwards them to the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro, the University or other competent institutions; he/she advises students on how to exercise their rights and in order to protect their rights he may participate in disciplinary proceedings opened against students of the University of Montenegro.

The student ombudsman is elected by the Assembly of the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro, for a period of two years, with the right to be re-elected once. The student ombudsman may be a student of Undergraduate, Specialist or Master studies at the University of Montenegro.

The position of Student Ombudsman is currently held by Aleksandar Sipcic, a representative of the Faculty of Political Science in the Student Parliament.
