Ivan Jeknić is born on May 10th 1990 in Podgorica. After finishing secondary education he started studying law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro. During his studies there he won the Student awards for excellent academic results. Upon completion of basic studies, he began his specialist studies – course name: Constitutional law and politics, graduating with excellent results.

He finished his master studies at the Faculty of Law of the University in Belgrade (Public Law module – Administrative Law submodule) with a high GPA. He presented his master thesis „Free access to information and personal data protection in public administration – Montenegro and comparative law“ with the highest grade, acquiring the title Master of Law. He is currently on his doctoral studies at the same Faculty, course name: Administrative law and science.

He began working at the Faculty of political sciences of the University of Montenegro in September 2012, as a demonstrator on the subjects of Administrative law and Science of administration. In September 2015 he began working as a teaching assistant on the subjects of Administrative law, Science of Administration, Public administration, Contemporary systems of public administration, Labour law, International business law, Sociology, Ethics and others.

He took part in numerous conferences, seminars, projects, workshops, courses and simulations, as participant or presenter. He is fluent in English, and speaks French and Russian.
