Biography - Rajković Irena

Field of research: Bioclimatic and Energy-efficient architecture

Irena Rajković was born in Warsaw, Poland. She obtained her architectural degree at the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, University of Montenegro in 2008. She has been a Visiting Scholar in research “Application of solar energy as one of renewable energy sources” at the School of Architecture Design and Built Environment, Nottingham Trent University in 2009. In 2014 she finished her Master degree at Department for Bioclimatic and Energy-efficient architecture at the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica. She obtained PhD degree in architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sarajevo, in February of 2022.

In period from 2008-2010 she has been working as Associate designer in Design studio. From 2010.-2023. she is teaching assistant at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Montenegro, and in 2023. she is promoted into Assistant professor title.

She was participating in numerous exhibitions, competitions, professional conferences and workshops, where she participated as a mentor. She took a part in numerous international project "European Network Retrofit", Tempus RESARCH and Tempus DAPEEWB, projects within IPA INTERREG programme: 3D-IMP-ACT, REEHUB, REEHUB PLUS and she is a member of the national scientific research team in the project "Research of the fortifications at the Montenegrin coast with the aim of its revitalization".  She is a member of NGO “Green Building Council” (Technical and Education Commitee) and Association of Architects of Montenegro.
