Biography - Jovanović Ana

Prof. Dr. Ana Jovanovic was born in Niksić on 03.02.1970, where she finished primary and high school with excellent success. For the achieved results, she was awarded with diploma “Luča”.

She enrolled at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica in 1988, where she graduated on July 14, 1994. defending the thesis titled "Green Function in Electrostatics" with a grade of 10.

She defended the master's thesis titled "Determining the characteristics of emission antennas with the modified least squares method" on September 23, 1998 and the doctoral dissertation titled "Analysis of complex antenna structures by the least squares method" on June 21, 2004. at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro in Podgorica.

Research area of Prof. dr Ana Jovanović is in the field of Theory of electromagnetics, mostly related to the analysis and optimization of complex antenna systems. This research resulted in the publication of a large number of scientific papers in international and domestic journals, as well as at international and domestic scientific conferences. She participated in the realization of several scientific-research projects as an active researcher.

As a teaching assistant at the Department of Theoretical Electrical Engineering - Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Montenegro, she was elected in 1994. In 2007 she was appointed as assistant professor and in 2012 as an associate professor. On October 2017 she was elected as a full professor. She is pursuing lectures from subjects: Electromagnetics, Propagation and Radiation of Electromagnetic waves and Microwave Antennas.

She is a member of the International Association of Electrical Engineers (IEEE) - Antenna and Propagation section and a member of the Organizational Program Committee of the International Scientific Conference Information Technologies.

Since August 2013 she has been serving as Vice Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. She is also a president of the Commission for Quality Assurance and Improvement, the Postgraduate Studies Commission and the Office for International Cooperation at the same Faculty.

She is married and has two children.
