Faculty of Philosophy




 

Predrag Živković was born on March 21, 1984 in Niksic. He is a professor assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy - University of Montenegro. He completed his basic studies of sociology in 2008 at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic. He received a master's degree in the field of sociology of culture and art - Forms of Consumer Trends in Culture in Montenegro at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic in 2010 under the mentorship of professor Ratko R. Božović. He attended doctoral studies at the same faculty and graduated in 2016 defending his doctoral dissertation - Theoretical Approaches to the Phenomenon of Globalization in Contemporary Sociological Theory in the field of sociology of politics. The doctoral dissertation was defended under the mentorship of professor Slobodan Vukićević.

Predrag Živković is actively engaged in sociological research which shows his participation in the realization of national and international scientific projects, studies, published monographs, papers, participation in scientific meetings, tribunes, symposiums. The most important fields of his scientific and theoretical interest and research are: sociology of politics, political philosophy, geopolitics, sociology of international relations and sociology of culture. Published in domestic and international periodicals. He is also a member of national and regional journals, as well as a regional internet portal, in which he has published papers and columns in the field of geopolitics. He is a member of the Society of Sociologists of Montenegro (SSM).

As a scholar of specialist doctoral studies, he spent the summer semester of 2013 at the Sociological Faculty of the Moscow State University named M. V. Lomonosov, mastering in the field of geopolitics and sociology of international relations under the mentorship of professor Aleksandr G. Dugin.
