Biography - Nenezić Sonja

Sonja Nenezić graduated in 1996 from the Department of the Serbo-Croatian langauge and Yugoslav Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić. She defended her master's thesis under entitled Endocentric Compound Adjectives Found in the Dictionary of Serbo-Croatian Literary Language Matica srpska I-VI (mentor: Prof. Živojin Stanojčić, Ph.D. Faculty of Philology- Belgrade), and in 2007 Nenezic defended a doctoral dissertation Language of Nikola I Petrović (mentor: Academician, Prof. Dr. Emeritus Branislav Ostojić, Faculty of Philosophy - Nikšić).

After a two-year working period in the Service for Social Activities, in Nikšić Municipality, and two years spent as a teacher at primary schools in Nikšić (1996-1998), she was employed at the Faculty of Philosophy as a teching assistant. In 2009, she was elected assistant professor, and in 2015 Nenezic was elected associate professor. She is currently teaching at several Departments of the Facultyof Philology (Serbian and South Slavic Literature, Montenegrin and South Slavic Literature, German Language and Literature), as well as the departments of the Faculpty of Philosophy (Teacher Education Department) and Faculty of Sports and Physical Education (Sports Journalism).

Nenzic is the author of monographs and about fifty scientific papers published in domestic and international journals and proceeding. She participated in numerous domestic and international scientific meetings and symposiums and was a contributor to several scientific research projects whose bearers are the most national or renowned foreign institutions (CANU, UCG, MPNCG, Institute for the Serbian Language SANU, Institute of Slavic Studies at Karl Franc University in Graz, National and University Library of RS in Banja Luka).

Nenezic  is a member of the Center for Young Scientists - CANU, as well as the Society for Applied Linguistics of Montenegro. Nenzic was a representative of Montenegro in the Word foramtion Committees of the International Committee of Slavistics. She was the head of the Department for the Serbian Language and South Slavic Literature, twice. During the academic 2014/15. Nenzic was a Vice-Dean of Education of the Faculty of Philosophy, and from 2015/16. he performs the same function at the newly formed Faculty of Philology.

Areas of scientific interest: syntax, word formation, linguistics.
