Biography - Vujacic Vesna

Vesna Vujacic  completed her basic studies Plant and Food Protection at The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade. She enrolled post-graduate studies at the same University, which she completed with an average grade of 9.7, ad got the title of Master of Biotechnical Sciences. Doctoral dissertation "Genotypic and phenotypic variability of production characteristics of introduced species from the genus Amaranthus L.” defended at the mentioned University. The doctoral dissertation is the result of three years of research on a new nutritional and important plant species from the genus Amaranthus L, and was the result of cooperation between the University of Belgrade and the VIR-Russian Scientific Institute, the Russian Academy, St. Petersburg, Russia.

Postdoctoral specialization and working place (research on species from the genus Amaranthus L.) was realized in Slovakia at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Foodstuffs, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. Study stays: the Republic of Italy Trening program Adriatic Cross Border Interreg III A: SIAB project, Certificate of trening University of Bari, Department of Biology and Chemistry, Agro Forestry and Environmental, Section of Genetics and University of Lecce, Department of Biological Sciences and Technologies and Environmental; study stay at the Institute of Food Technology, University of Novi Sad; study stay Chemic faculty MSU Lomonosova, Moscow, Laboratory of Engineering Emiology of the Department of Chemical Eneimology, Chemistry Faculty, etc.

Vesna Vujacic is the author of the book "Knowledge of Foodstuffs" published by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, University of Montenegro, year of publication 2011., no. 232, ISBN 978-86-908213-4-1, COBISS.CG-ID 17514512, area Food and Nutrition. She participated in 10 international scientific projects as a leader or member of the project team. He is the author of about 65 scientific-professional papers published in international journals, and at international and national conferences. Research interests are in the field of biotechnology, food and tourism. Reviewer of scientific journals: Journal Tourism and Hospitality Mangement ISSN 1330-7533 (Print) ISSN 1847-3377 (Online); International Scientific Journal Turizam ISSN 1450-6661(Hard Copy), ISSN 1821-1127 (Online)., Journal Genetika, Serbian Genetic Society,www.dgsgenetika.org.rs.

She worked as assistant / teaching assistant at the Faculty of Agriculture-Department of Genetics, University of Belgrade. For a Scientific Associate, an academic title,  she was elected in Belgrade, by the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection, Belgrade, Republic of Serbia, Commission for obtaining scientific titles. As a Assistant Professor of the University of Montenegro she was elected for the field: Biotechnology and Food, at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, University of Montenegro. For the associate professor, an academic title, she was elected for the field: Food technology in tourism and hotel industry. Lecturer at study programs Tourism, Hotel Management, Specialist and Master Studies at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management Kotor, University of Montenegro.

She performed several functions: Vice-Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, Head of PhD studies at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, Head of the study program Hotel Management at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management of the University of Montenegro, Member of the Senate of the University of Montenegro; Member of the Council of Social Sciences of the University of Montenegro, as well as todays current member. By the decision of the Rector of the University of Montenegro on July 20, 2018, she was promoted for scientific research at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management of the University of Montenegro.
