Biography - Savić Marko

Marko Savic was born on 23.04.1990. in Niksic, where he finished elementary and high school "Stojan Cerovic" as the holder of a diploma Luca I.

He graduated from the Faculty of Political Science, the University of Montenegro with an average score of 9.50. He graduated from the topic "Russian foreign policy towards the Middle East from 2008 to 2013" at the Department of International relations and Diplomacy with an average score of 9.63.

Since September 2014, he has engaged as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Political Science on subjects in the field of international relations, international economic relations, history of the Balkan relations, electoral and party systems.

He has finished his Master studies with topic "Russian geopolitics and the Balkans" at the Faculty of Political Sciences in 2017, Department of International Relations, with an average score of 10.

During his studies, he was the editor of the first student portal in Montenegro "Tragom" and one of the founders of the Student Council of the Faculty of Political Sciences. He has also achieved a number of successes, including participation in the European Forum Alpbach, Austria, internship/practice in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, and through various projects and exchanges he was at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, and at Roehampton University London. He has received several scholarships, including Atlas scholarship, comprehensive European Forum Alpbach scholarship for young leaders, a scholarship of the Ministry of Education (Government of Montenegro), a scholarship of the municipality of Niksic. He is a scholarship holder of the Mevlana program for the school year 2016/2017, through which he lectured at the Faculty of Political Science and Administration at Katip Çelebi University in Izmir.

In the past few years he has accomplished a range of expert engagements, including the most important:

- engagement in the Center for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) within the Public Policy Research Department as the Director of the Department;

- engagement in the Secretariat-General of the Government of Montenegro as an Expert for Policy Coordination and Strategic Planning;

- election and media expert in the CeMI mission for monitoring the parliamentary elections in Montenegro 2016;

- Senior Media Analyst Assistant in the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observertion Mission during the 2018 presidential elections in Montenegro;

- expert for political participation, Center for Democracy and Human Rights;

- expert engagement at the Cetinje Parliamentary Forum 2017.

He is an author of several published scientific papers in the field of international relations, a participant in several scientific conferences, schools, and seminars.

He is fluent in English and Russian and he has basic knowledge of Italian.
