Biography - Mraković Ivan

Ivan Mraković was born in Kotor in 1989. He finished Primary and Secondary School in Kotor. In 2013 he graduated from Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor in Applied Nautics. In 2014 he obtained SpecApp title from Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor in Maritime Polytechnic. In 2021 he obtained MSc title from Faculty for Information Technologies (Mediterranean University) by defending thesis „Analysis of models for DDoS cyber threats reduction on oceangoing vessels“. Ivan is currently PhD student at Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor in Maritime Sciences.

Ivan was declared best student of Secondary Maritime School in Kotor - class 2004/08. During BApp studies he earned Municipal scholarship as well as cash reward from „Borivoj Dobrilović“ fund for extraordinary results achieved during first 2 years of studies.

He is active seafarer since 2011 and holds “Master on ships of 3000 gross tonnage or more” certificate since 2019.

During the period from 1.12.2013. to 30.11.2017. Ivan participated in realization of project "Modernizing and harmonizing maritime education in Montenegro and Albania - MArED" (project no. 544257-TEMPUS-I-2013-1-ME-TEMPUS-JPCR) whose coordinator was Faculty of Maritime Studies. Project was financed through Tempus IV program.

Ivan is employed at Faculty of Maritime Studies since September 2016 where he works as Teaching assistant (Laborant) for Nautical subjects as well as Instructor at Maritime Training Centre.

He is author and co-author of multiple scientific papers published internationally. He is co-author of the book titled “Pravila držanja navigacione straže na brodu“.
