Biography - Jelić Milica

She enrolled Undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić, Department for Education in the 2004/2005 academic year and graduated in 2007. Postgraduate specialist studies she finished 2008. She defended masters thesis on the topic "Different forms of vocational orientation of secondary school students". PhD dissertation on the topic  "Educational influences on the development of identity in preschool children through aspects of self-control and agency" she defended in 2020, under the mentorship of prof. dr. Saša Milić.

She is working as an Assistant professor at the University of Montenegro, for the fields of General and Comparative Pedagogy, and she teachs the following subjects: Basics of Pedagogy, General Pedagogy - Theory of Education, Comparative Pedagogy - International Dimension of Education, Social Pedagogy, Work with gifted children, Pedagogical resocialization and Didaktics. 

She was a visiting professor at the University of Zagreb, Department for Educational Sciencies (May 2022) and University of Maribor (December 2020). She participated in international projects "International Teacher Leadership" (2010-2015); Advancing Teacher Professionalism for Inclusive, Quality and Relevant Education - ATEPIE (2011-2013); Short and long visits of foreign experts and higher education teachers at the University of Maribor in years 2019-2022. As well as in the national projects that were supported by the Department for Education – “The reasons for the low level of school achievement of Roma students” (2011-2014) and “Socio-cultural identities of children of preschool age in Montenegro” (2019-2021), in bilateral scientific cooperation projects between Montenegro and Croatia – “Intercultural approach to Roma integration: Montenegro – Croatia“ (2013-2014); “Intercultural competences and European values: Montenegro – Croatia“ (2017-2018); and the project of bilateral scientific and research cooperation Slovenia - Montenegro – “The quality of  pre-school education process in the Republics of Slovenia and Montenegro” (2018-2020).

She has presented papers and participated in a significant number of international conferences.

She is an author of several professional development programs for educators/teachers accredited by the Institute of Education of Montenegro.
