Biography - Popović Milan




Born on July 11, 1955.

Theoretician of contemporary society, sociologist, politologist.

Full Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Montenegro in Podgorica, on the subject Contemporary Political Systems. Visiting professor or lecturer at several European and world universities, as well as domestic and international non-governmental programs.

An antiwar, civic and democratic activist. Member of a large number of domestic and international non-governmental organizations (The Verona Forum in Brussels 1996-1999, International Forum Bosnia since 1998, International Expert Team of the Genocide Research Institute in Canada since 2013).

Supporter of certain political parties and alliances. Member of the Council of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro 1993-1997, member of the Council of the Democratic Front of Montenegro from 2012-2015, Member of the Council of Demos 2015. Winner of the "Dusko Kondor" Award for the Promotion of Civil Courage for 2014. NGO GARIWO in Sarajevo.

Author of about twenty books in the field of social sciences, and three novels (Armor: The Story of an Unusual Suicide, Ibrahim 2044-1994, Brief novel about man and god, Remains: At the end of time). Regular columnist of Monitor- Montenegrin Independent Weekly
