Biography - Krivokapić Vujadin

Vujadin Krivokapic completed his elementary music education under the supervision of Prof. Willy Ferdinandy, at the School of Music and Balet arts “Vasa Pavic” in Podgorica, Montenegro. This was followed by both graduate (1999) and postgraduate (2001) studies at The Music Academy in Belgrade, Serbia, in class of Prof. Dejan Mihajlovic. In 2004, he was awarded a scholarship to carry out further postgraduatestudies on the Universite de Montreal- Faculte de Musique, Canada, under the supervision of Prof. Eleonora Turovsky.

Vujadin Krivokapic has been awarded a wide range of prizes on both national and international level to include prizes from Montenegro,Serbia and Italy . In addition,he has given remarkable number of concerts in his country and likewise abroad. Most notably at the Claude-Champagne in Montreal, Kolarac in Belgrade, Montenegrian National Theatre in Podgorica, Lee Foundation Theatre in Singapore and Musikverein Concert Hall  in Vienna in Austria. His concert activities have seen him performing in  Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, France, Austria, Italy, Canada, USA and Singapore. One should also mention his general involvement with chamber music, where he,as member of several ensembles has performed extensively as well. He has performes as a concertmaster of the ensemble Montenegrin Strings and Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra at festivals at Russia and Turkey.

It is not worthy to sterss Mr.Krivokapic’s interest in cotemporary music of the  XX and XXI century. His active promotion of contemporary music has seen him performing numerous premiers of modern works.

Vujadin Krivokapic is currently  Assistant Profesor of violin on the Academy of  Music-University of Montenegro.
