Biography - Burić Dragan

BIOGRAPHY

He finished primary school in Podgorica. He completed Secondary School of Hydrometeorology "Milutin Milanković" in Belgrade with excellent marks. He graduated his studies at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Natural Sciences, and University of Pristina with an average mark of 9.42. His diploma work "Climate of Podgorica" got the highest mark. He completed his postgraduate studies at the Department of Physical Geography – Climatology, Faculty of Geography, and University of Belgrade with the average mark of 9.71 defending the master’s thesis “Changes in the air temperature in Montenegro in the instrumental period He defended the doctoral dissertation “Dynamics and possible causes of temperature and precipitation extremes in the territory of Montenegro in the period of 1951-2010” at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade, Department of Physical Geography, and thus gained the scientific PHD degree of Geo-sciences. He gained faculty, master and PHD degrees first in his generation.

In the period 1990-2017, he was employed at the Hydro-meteorological Institute of Montenegro. From school season 2010/11 to 2016/17, he was engaged as a lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic, at the Study Program for Geography. Since 2014 he has been engaged at the Television of Montenegro, as a synoptic in the TV show “Morning programme”, and in the news programme “Dnevnik 2” as an interpreter of weather conditions, analysis and weather forecast.

He has published two scientific monographs, over thirty scientific papers in the international and national magazines, one scientific chapter in the international monograph, several papers presented at the international scientific meetings, printed as an abstract or as a whole. He reviewed about 20 scientific works and did one revision of a scientific study of national importance. He is a member of the editorial board: The voice of Serbian Geographical Society and Collection of Works of the Geographical Institute, “Jovan Cvijić”, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
