Biography

Marko Nikolić was born 14/6/1981 in Nikšić. Elementary school „Ratko Žarić“ finished in Nikšić, as well as Gymnasium „Stojan Cerović“. He finished Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics, Department Biology – Ecology in Podgorica. He enrolled PhD studies 2014/2015 on Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Department of Biology and Ecology, University of Novi Sad.

During 2013 he started to work on Institute of Marine Biology in Kotor. Since 2015 he is working as PhD researcher on BIO-ICT project. Him research area is marine ecology and ecophysiology of marine invertebrates.

He presented his work on several national and international congresses. He published some scientific papers on the topic ecology and ecophysiology. He participated on several projects regarding to marine biology: international trawler expedition in the Mediterranean Sea within MEDITS project; „Monitoring and biomonitoring of water quality for mariculture“; „Impact of anthropogenic factor on the life in coastal aquatorium of the Montenegrin cost“;  Marine field on the vessel „Dallaporta“ in South Adriatic (Montenegro, Albania, Italy) which was part of the AdriaMed project „Scientific Cooperation to Support Responsible Fisheries in the Adriatic Sea“.

He finished courses for work on biomonitoring equipment, based on fiber-optical method and measurement of Hart Rate of benthic invertebrates, as well as course for data processing and using of equipment for measurement of Valve Gape in mussels.
