Board for Strategic Planning of Development of Science and Art on the University of Montenegro

By the Decision of the Steering Committee no. 02-199 from 14.06.2022. on establishing mechanisms for encouraging development of science through financial support for scientific excellence, the mechanisms have been determined for encouraging science through financial support for scientific excellence at the University of Montenegro, which subject and goals are strengthening scientific and research potential, stimulation and promotion of excellent scientists and scientific and research results, raising the quality of scientific publications and publications in prominent international journals, as well as increasing scientific competitiveness of the University of Montenegro within the European Research Area.

In terms of abovementioned Decision by the Steering Committee there has been the Decision made by the Senate of the University of Montenegro number 03-1322 from 04.07.2022, which established the Board for Strategic Planning of Development of Science and Art on the University of Montenegro composed of:

    - Prof. dr Ljubiša Stanković, The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Chairman;
    - Prof. dr Aneta Spaić, The Faculty of Law, member;
    - Prof. dr Igor Vušanović, The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, member;
    - Prof. dr Filip Vukmirović, The Faculty of Medicine, member;
    - Prof. dr Nedeljko Latinović, Biotechnical Faculty, member;
    - Prof. dr Aleksandra Nikčević-Batrićević, the Faculty of Philology, member;
    - Prof. mr Sehad Čekić, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, member;
    - Prof. dr Milivoje Radović the Faculty of Economics, member;
    - Prof. dr Svjetlana Terzić, the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, member.

Point 2 of the Decision of the Senate of the University of Montenegro no. 03-1322 from 04.07.2022, in 2016, it was decided that logistic and professional-administrative support in the work of the Board will be provided by employees of the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro, Dijana Jovanović, Head of the rectors cabinet, and Katarina Dobrović, advisor for legal affairs of the Steering Committee and harmonization of legal regulations.

The Board shall comply with the Decision of the Steering Committee of the University of Montenegro no. 02-199 from 14.06.2022. preparation of Guidelines for implementation of mechanisms for encouraging development of science through financial support for scientific excellence, which need to determine the priorities, criteria and particularities of the Program implementation, as well as the criteria and method of awarding financial incentives to outstanding individuals and groups within the scientific community.
