Control testing of first team players of FC Podgorica

Professors of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro performed a control anthropometric measurement of the players of the football club Podgorica in Podgorica today, 30 days after the initial measurement.

The players of this club have started preparations for the continuation of the championship of the Telekom 1st Montenegrin Football League, with ambitions to go to Europe because they finished the first part of the championship in fourth place with seven wins and six draws and defeats.

Measurements that were realized with the most modern equipment were also attended by sports director Vojo Pejović, chief of staff Milorad Peković and fitness coach Vladica Čelebić who got a complete insight into indicators of morphological diagnostics, percentage of subcutaneous and visceral fat, skeletal muscle mass, information on hydration, metabolic parameters, as well as a complete segmental analysis of the body.

The measurements were realized by full prof. Duško Bjelica, PhD, docent Jovan Gardašević, PhD and docent Ivan Vasiljević, PhD.

Professor Bjelica wished the professional staff and players good luck in the continuation of the championship and emphasized that the training technology should guide the process of transformation of the dominant performance of the athlete towards achieving the goal in a certain sport. "For the successful programming of sports training, information on certain principles and laws of sports training, which condition and determine the course of adaptation processes, is extremely important," concluded professor Duško Bjelica.
