CSA Conference Exceeded all Expectations

The biggest International event in the field of Sports Science, scientific conference ‘’Sport, Physical Activity and Health: Modern Perspectives’’ gathered more than 240 world scientists of total 367 signatories of scientific papers in the organization of Montenegrin Sports Academy, in Dubrovnik and Cavtat, last week from April 4th to April 7th.

More than 100 professor and master and PhD students from the region participated of total number of attendees.  Professors and students from Serbia were the most numerous among them, thanks to professors and students from Vojvodina, next to colleagues from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Slovenia.  

Attendance of scientists from Vojvodina was supported by Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Technological Development in the Government of Vojvodina and the leading man Zoran Milosevic, PhD. 

 ‘’Presentation of scientific papers were multidisciplinary at Conference this year, so students and professors from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, Faculty of Teaching in Hungarian language from Subotica, Faculty of Economics from Subotica and College of Professional Studies for Education of Teachers and Coaches also from Subotica were presented. Participation at the Conference elapsed working and more than successful in great organization of the host’’, Stevo Popovic, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro, the institution that is one of the organizers, said.

Twelve partner faculties from EU countries and the region participated in the organization next to CSA and the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of UoM.

Special attention was on young researchers. Training of Central-European Program of University Studies Exchange-CEEPUS on topic ‘’ How to prepare, write and publish scientific papers in sports science’’ was prepared for 33 master and PhD students from the University of Novi Sad, University of Mostar and the University of Montenegro.

 They learnt how to use modern research methodologies to improve the quality of scientific papers, to understand the academic integrity and to work according the moral code or ethnic policy of the academic community through the training.
